Tulane at Oral Roberts WNIT Preview

The Tulane Women's basketball team is at Oral Roberts today, in a game that would send Tulane yet deeper into the WNIT, if they can get the win that is. That shouldn't be easy, as Oral Roberts is a solid team, that plays a similar wide open style as the Wave. They score, and score often. In fact, Oral Roberts has scored over 100 points six times this season.

They allow plenty of points as well though, as many high-flying offenses do. They allow an average of 75 points per game, while scoring an average of 85. While this may be a strong margin of victory, it should be noted that they play in The Summit League. No disrespect to the Summit, but Conference-USA is a far more difficult conference to play in. Thus, Oral Roberts went 16-2 in conference.

Oral Roberts has a dynamite leading scorer on their squad. Kevi Luper averages 24.2 points per game, and is scary from deep. Tulane will have to make somebody other than Luper beat them if they expect to be victorious.

All in all this should be an exciting contest for the Wave, who have come on strong in the last two months. Objectively, I would expect nothing short of a victory from Tulane, if they can slow down the Oral Roberts offense. Expect some big numbers tonight though.
