Green Wave Downs Navy in Basketball Road Win

Ed Conroy, in his second year at Tulane's helm, opened the season with three consecutive home victories. The team dug deep yesterday to overcome a late deficit, giving the Green Wave a 57-55 road win against Navy's Midshipmen.

Though Tulane won its first three games by an average of 25 points, Navy presented the team with its first real test of the season. There were 12 lead changes over the course of the contest.

Most importantly, this marks the first time Tulane opened a season 4-0 since 2001/2002. Of course, Tulane's non-conference schedule will intensify with a home game against Georgia Tech on Dec. 3 and a road trip to the Carrier Dome to face off against an elite Syracuse team on Dec. 22.
